Vinted description generator: from photo to listing
Snap a photo of what you're selling and Listem writes the Vinted title, a short, plain description and the tags buyers search for. It also checks what similar items go for second-hand. Copy each part into the Vinted app with one tap.

How it works
- Pick Vinted as your marketplace and add a photo. Add the brand or size if you know them; a photo can't read a size label it can't see.
- Listem writes it Vinted-style: a searchable title, two to four short lines of description, and plain search tags led by the brand and model.
- Check the price. You get three suggestions (Sell fast, Balanced and Top price), based on second-hand listings it found on Vinted, eBay, Depop and other sites, with links so you can see them.
- Fill in the gaps, then copy. Size and condition are left as highlighted gaps for you to fill in. Tap Copy on the title, description and tags and paste each into Vinted.
How to write a Vinted description that sells
Put the searched words first in the title
Vinted buyers search for a brand and an item, then narrow down by size. A title like "Levi's 501 Jeans Dark Wash W32 L32" matches all of that. "Lovely jeans, barely worn" matches none of it.
Keep the description short and factual
Most Vinted shoppers are scrolling on a phone. Two to four short lines covering brand, model, size, colour and condition read better than a paragraph. Write as the owner ("Straight leg, button fly") rather than describing a photo ("These appear to feature…").
Give measurements for clothes
Sizes vary between brands, so measurements answer the question buyers message about most. Pit to pit, length, and inside leg for trousers save a lot of back-and-forth.
Be exact about flaws
"Small mark on the left cuff, shown in photo 4" builds trust. "Some signs of wear" makes buyers nervous and leads to questions or returns.
Fill in Vinted's own fields too
Brand, size, condition and colour in Vinted's listing form drive its search filters. A buyer filtering for "Levi's, W32" won't see your jeans if those fields are blank, whatever the description says.
Skip the hype words
"Must-have", "timeless", "statement piece" and "perfect for" make a used item sound like an advert. Listem's writing leaves them out on purpose; plain facts sell second-hand clothes better.
What a Listem Vinted listing looks like
Levi's 501 Jeans Dark Wash W32 L32
Levi's 501 jeans, dark blue wash. Straight leg, button fly. W32 L32. Condition: condition
This shows the style only; yours is written from your photo. It doesn't invent a condition or a reason for selling. Those are left for you.
Questions
Does Listem post to Vinted for me?
No. Listem writes and prices the listing; you paste it into the Vinted app with the Copy buttons. eBay is the marketplace Listem can post to directly.
Is the Vinted description generator free?
Yes. The free plan gives 2 listings a day. Casual (£7.99/month) gives 10 a day and writes for up to 3 marketplaces at once, handy if you list the same item on Vinted and eBay. Premium (£24.99/month) is unlimited, with bulk mode.
Does it work for Depop too?
Yes. Pick Depop and you get Depop's more relaxed style with hashtag-style tags. On Casual or Premium you can pick both and get one version for each site from the same photo.
Can I change what it writes?
Yes. Every line can be edited before you copy it, and the gaps for size and condition are there for you to fill in.
