Crosslisting: one item, a listing written for each marketplace

Crosslisting means selling the same item on several marketplaces at once, so more buyers see it. Crosslisting tools are built to post a listing to many sites and take it down when it sells. Listem does a different part of the job: from one photo it writes a separate listing for each marketplace you pick, in that site's own style, and checks what the item really sells for.

What Listem does, and what it doesn't

Straight answer first, so you can decide if it fits how you sell.

It does

It doesn't

If you need automatic posting and delisting across many sites, a dedicated crosslisting tool does that. Listem works alongside one: paste Listem's text into your crosslister or straight into each app.

Why each marketplace needs its own version

Each marketplace reads a listing differently, so the same text pasted into all of them won't suit any of them properly:

A crosslisting routine with Listem

  1. Photograph the item once, or scan its barcode if it's boxed, a book or media.
  2. Pick the marketplaces you sell on. Listem writes a listing for each.
  3. Check the price suggestions (Sell fast, Balanced, Top price) and fill in the highlighted gaps such as condition.
  4. Post to eBay in one tap, then copy the others into their apps, or into your crosslisting tool.
  5. The moment it sells, remove it everywhere else, or let your crosslister's auto-delist do it, so you never sell the same item twice.

Questions

Is Listem a crosslisting app?

Not in the usual sense. It writes and prices a listing for each marketplace and posts to eBay, but it doesn't post to the other marketplaces or remove sold items for you. Many sellers use it to write the listings and then crosslist them by hand or with a crosslisting tool.

Does it remove an item from other sites when it sells?

No. Remove it yourself straight away, or use a tool with auto-delisting, so you don't sell the same item twice.

How many marketplaces can I write for at once?

Free writes for one marketplace per listing (2 listings a day). Casual (£7.99/month) writes for up to 3 at once, 10 a day. Premium (£24.99/month) writes for all of them, with unlimited listings and bulk mode.

Is crosslisting allowed?

Selling the same item in more than one place is about each marketplace's own rules rather than the law, and the real risk is to your account: hidden listings, restrictions or a ban. What matters most is how a tool posts for you:

  • eBay's User Agreement bans robots, scrapers and other automated access without eBay's permission; apps get that permission through eBay's official API, which is how Listem posts.
  • Vinted's terms don't allow third-party software or tools on your Vinted profile unless Vinted authorises them, and since September 2026 Vinted has been restricting accounts it suspects of automation, including crosslisting tools where you click "publish" yourself.
  • Depop has an official listing API for approved partners. Whatever tool you use, remove an item everywhere as soon as it sells.

Listem never logs into or controls your Vinted or Depop account: you paste its text in yourself. Rules change, so check each site's current terms before using any automation. This is general information, not legal advice.
